yeah and that's kinda the most tragic part and is really common with abusers' enablers - they're often victims in their own right, but drive everyone off with their horrible behaviour, leaving them vulnerable.

I have no idea what the solution is! it's certainly not the first time I've seen it happen. but I think any empathy I had left was when he replied to the anon how andy's lies in LA aligned with a reformation with the grotesquely disingenuous "and what lies would those be?"

"Victim in their own right"? Are you joking? Exactly how has Andy actually victimized Chris? I'm sorry, but simply being convinced to defend an asshole online is not "being victimized". Chris is a big boy. He's not living under Andy's thumb. He's a grown man who has been fooled by a predator, no doubt, but he's responsible for his own actions. He's the Catholic parishioner who defends the molester priest, NOT a victim.

Yes, there are degrees of victimization, but you're putting Chris in the same category as people who have been physically and sexually assaulted.
Andy's REAL victims, particularly Abbey, are being shit on left and right by Chris. Until Chris comes out and reveals that Andy has actually had a serious, long-lasting negative impact on his life, he's not a victim. He's an apologist.

NA one of the many shitty parts of Andy’s abuse is we don’t who is or isn’t being abused being abused. Andy targets people with mental illness and be glorifies soldiers. Ultimately we don’t know and Ravenjeep should have his awfulness called out, but I think this is where the concern comes in.

Concern, sure. But I'm not going to assume that Chris attacking victims is a result of Andy manipulating him via his PTSD until there's actual evidence of that. I find the sort of focus Chris is getting here distasteful for reasons I've explained downthread.

Yea, he's one of those people who think "well, it's not happening to me, so the others are full of it/undeserving of being defended".
