Gloves Off

Please use this post for discussion of those contentious, murky, triggering issues too complex to discuss/moderate on the main post.

Note that this post is NOT a free-for-all and will still be modded for slurs, namecalling, doxxing and trolling. But fair warning that it will not be moderated for discussion of issues some find triggering (trans issues, mental illness, etc.) and that if you choose to participate here, you do so at your own risk.

LOLNO. Andy as usual has it completely wrong -- when your growth plates fuse, that's when you stop growing. Not all growth plates fuse at the same time, either, so the growth plates in the wrist can fuse while the plates in the legs are still growing. It sounds nice and poetic to say "I stopped growing and even the plates in my hands didn't fuse," but it's really inaccurate.

Ah but you missed the magic at work here, Anon. As you say, if his growth plates are not fused, then he should still be growing. BUT what he's saying is that his body magically knew that his heart wouldn't be able to take it if he grew any taller, so it stopped growing anyway, even though it shouldn't have!
