Gloves Off

Please use this post for discussion of those contentious, murky, triggering issues too complex to discuss/moderate on the main post.

Note that this post is NOT a free-for-all and will still be modded for slurs, namecalling, doxxing and trolling. But fair warning that it will not be moderated for discussion of issues some find triggering (trans issues, mental illness, etc.) and that if you choose to participate here, you do so at your own risk.

She's upset Meg isn't reading or posting here anymore. Realistically though, it was only a matter of time until something someone said ticked Meg off and caused her to tell everyone to fuck off again, as she has many times in the past. Anyone can comment here for any reason, and there's really no way to control people being snarky, or just plain disagreeing with her interpretation of events.

Let's be real, Meg may not post here but I find it super unlikely that she isn't going to keep reading. Hell, I would if I was her.

On a related note, I completely disagree with what TB said here: "Any time that your actions lead someone that you profess to be concerned about to throw up her hands and leave in disgust, you need to take a good, hard look at yourself and your motives."

No? I don't think so. You can tell a smoker that cigarettes are bad for them and they can get disgusted with you and leave. Some part of that has to do with the person throwing their hands up.

My motives are to discuss Andy and the whacked out things that he does. Tf_talk is not Meg's therapist and I think expecting an anon meme to be perfectly attuned and responsive to her needs is unrealistic at best and downright disingenuous at worst.

I don't think anyone should be mean to Meg at all, but if she says things that are unbelievable to me (Ex. Andy's quick action was better than what the hospital could provide!) then I will not pretend to believe them. I don't think that would be helpful.
