Yeah, like, we had a landlord lower our rent to help us out once, but we'd been there for years and had given him zero headaches, and he straight-out said to us that he couldn't cope with the idea of us moving out and another problem tenant moving in; he was prepared to 'pay' for the lack of grief. You don't really get that after 2 months.

I only get my Andy info second- or third-hand, from this comm and the various blogs, so sorry if this is a stupid question, but do we know that he doesn't have a pre-existing relationship with his landlord? A relative or friend of the family?
