Gloves Off

Please use this post for discussion of those contentious, murky, triggering issues too complex to discuss/moderate on the main post.

Note that this post is NOT a free-for-all and will still be modded for slurs, namecalling, doxxing and trolling. But fair warning that it will not be moderated for discussion of issues some find triggering (trans issues, mental illness, etc.) and that if you choose to participate here, you do so at your own risk.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Though just being a Virginia IP shouldn't be enough to raise a red flag, but the whole idea skeeves me out too.

And no, I'm not an Andy fan. I haven't even commented about this idea yet.

He's lying about this. We all know he's lying about this. We have plenty of proof that he's lying about this. The bare idea that we somehow need even more proof is weird to me.

I haven't seen any. The story is just really implausible.

That's not the same as "proof", though.

This level of implausibility is, considering who's telling the story.

Oh, I think he's lying too. We have very different definitions of proof, though.

Yes, because you think calling the police department would prove anything. Even if they'd talk to someone about this, what are you hoping they'd say?

Um, I'm not going to be calling anyone. I haven't even advocated for it. I think you have me confused with another anon.

This increases the likelihood that the story is a steaming pile of shit a great deal, but it doesn't actually prove anything.

Yep. Not only do we already have ample proof that he's a liar and that he uses Brittany's death to manipulate people, we also know that Andy's go-to spin on the AA blog issue is that they're involved in an obsessive witchhunt and will stop at nothing to drive him off the 'net. While investigating his claims is a large part of the reason we're all here...I really question the wisdom of furthering the impression that we need to be grasping at 2-year-old "leads" in this way.

I find attitude really strange when we're on a community specifically set up to discuss Andy alone, and to archive his old posts. If people don't think there's a witch hunt on now, I doubt investigating a lie about Andy using Brittany's death is going to convince anyone.

Why don't you seem to care that the person that wants to call new Brittany?

Just stop with the guilt trip on them. You are starting to get weird over this.

Also it might be a two year old post but some people haven't known about this before. Why do you keep making a big deal of it being two years ago. It would still be a terrible lie and a terrible thing to imply that the crime scene photos were just out there somewhere.

I'd say the fact that it's old is relevant, since the person who started this subthread asked for community thoughts on whether they should\could try to determine whether a police report was filed.

This is particularly true if Brittany's family gets wind of it. Someone claiming to be father posted on Turimel's journal, after all, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Because understanding what he said two years ago (or five years ago, or 10 years ago) contributes to understanding and debunking his bull today.
