continued Thatfucker discussion

Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

In this regard, Thanfiction reminds me of a friend of a friend who can't keep a job, be it office or retail/food service work, for more than six months max. This friend gets thrilled about each new job and talks it up endlessly and the inevitable decline is always that they didn't appreciate his skills or there wasn't opportunities for advancement. The latest was a "start up that made apps" that he was totally going to do vision and strategy work for which turned out to be a group of loosely-connected guys who wanted to make an app, but didn't have anyone who could actually program/do that work.

That was a bit of a tangent, but I see that same cycle here. He's always jumping from job to job and embellishing aspects of it because they aren't exciting enough for him, but he actually doesn't have a the foundation that would get him the "visionary" job he desires.
