It is NOT AT ALL uncommon for trans people to reflect on former experiences in their lives from within the context of their asserted identity.

ESPECIALLY when you consider that many trans people know all along what they are but use socially acceptable language to define it when speaking about it.

OR are so stricken with internalized transphobia they suppress any awareness.

Total fucking strangers (or anyone) do NOT get to come up and use ANY trans person's former public ways of identifying their sexuality and gender as "proof" of lying, for fuck's sake. This is basic fucking shit.

And this is not for Andy's sake. It's for the sake of all the other trans people who don't need to be told experiences they reflect on as homosexual were not, because "at the time" they were identifying as straight women/men - probably so, you know, they wouldn't lose their families/communities/jobs/LIVES.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you here and I don't think it's relevant to the things Andy is doing NOW. How he identifies/relfects on his past sexual relationships is pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and I don't think it's something we need to speculate on.
