continued Thatfucker discussion

Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

+1

I think it's worth pointing out to Not-a-Troll that one of the main survivors of Andy's abuse is feeling silenced by people who attribute ill-will to those who want to discuss subjects that might be difficult or triggering.

Ponder that one for a little bit as you demand "ethics" and "perspective" for survivors.

I think it's worth pointing out to you that most of the people who want to discuss the "gray area" stuff want to because it's potentially "salacious" and "juicy", not because they give one single fuck about survivors.

Wow, you must be a mind reader. Because I haven't seen a post even imply that.

So? Adults get to discuss things for whatever reasons seem adequate to them. It's not like they can force me (or you) to participate, or to approach the subject less seriously ourselves.
