continued Thatfucker discussion

Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

As an actual Irish person from Lucan, I can say that even my Grandpappy doesn't sound like that when he's drunk.

He'd be a lot more believable if he'd chucked in a few 'right so' and 'so it was'.

As it is, it comes across as totally cringeworthy from someone who has never met anyone from either the North or ROI ever.

I'm from a few miles down the road from you, nonnie, and this, exactly.

AYRT
Andy could have done a more convincing Irish person if he watched Father Ted, Mrs Brown's Boys or a few Jedward interviews.

THAT is what ROI accents sound like. Not his 'Oirish'. His shit accent makes me cringe.

Andy claims he picked up his accent from his grandfather, who was supposedly from Belfast. Of course, both of those "facts" have been debunked as more of his lies.

Is Andy to this day still claiming his grandfather is from Belfast? I thought that was already thoroughly disproven.

Radio silence from him (as far I know) on his Irish ancestry since that post debunking it was posted/his grandfather's obituary was discovered. I know he's seen it. You'll notice he didn't make any KISS ME I'M OIRISH! posts on St. Patrick's Day this year.

He'll probably claim it was another false memory or delusion, but he's never addressed it publicly yet.

I might have missed something in the narrative, but I'm pretty sure that falls under the "I didn't know I was a fictional character in this person's head" delusion, so no, he'll have swept allll those claims off in one easy go.

As late as 2013, he was.

2013. So after he'd been "pinned down, diagnosed and treated." Riiiiggghhhht. If he tries to claim it was another delusion, he's just invalidated everything he ever said on the subject of "getting better." And besides, I kind of doubt people just have random delusions that their grandfathers are from Belfast and raised them at their knee.
