... along with a head-nod to mental illness for plausible deniability. This was posted on March 6, 2013, long after he started "getting treatment". Comes complete with references to the magical "info dump" people have talked about him referencing for years.

Something on the exact razor’s edge between balls-out mental illness and supernatural inspiration. I literally just kind of KNEW all of a sudden, like I’d received a massive download from the Matrix, and it’s only been a matter of getting it all out on paper since.

In 2012, I stopped thinking I had to subordinate any and all plans and dreams to the demands of my special powers. This is hope.

In 2012, I started believing I was alone in my own head. This is peace.

By this point, Andy claims that he realized he didn't have any powers to speak of. So why answer this ask with, "I'm not sure if it's mental illness... or I have supernatural powers and received a huge info dump from the universe"?

Wow. I only wish my own recovery were as easy, and took only a year or two. Instead it's been 24 years and I'll probably be like this to the end.

My diagnoses are different, but my experience is pretty much the same. I've had mental illness over 25 years and it's not going anywhere. Obviously treatment helps, but god I still wish sometimes for a magic cure. For all of us.

Strangely enough, my experience is similar. I can't even fathom recovering so much in the space of 2012.

...Weird that his doctors haven't published a damned thing about their miraculous new treatment method.

*snort* Ditto, Cap. In treatment for eight years, no end in sight, and with this dx, that's pretty much a given. Guess I'm just not as magical and brilliant as Andy is. *eyeroll*

I'm not going to touch the "supernatural inspiration/massive download from the Matrix" part, but even saying that he's so inspired because of his "balls-out mental illness" is extremely harmful and problematic. Romanticising mental illness like that, treating it as the ultimate source of inspiration, doesn't really fit his new SJW-persona.
