I thought I'd share a low-level documentary that Andy and I were in (Andy is featured briefly as Sir Not Appearing In This Film). It's embarrassing, but I thought I'd put it out there as contrast to the Brittany video upthread - I can't bring myself to watch it, but others have. It also talks about the "club" Turimel tried to claim was a scam, which I don't think I've publicly talked about:

You seemed level-headed and professional to me, and in some ways that's even more disturbing than Brittany's video, considering what you've told us about that time.

Thanks for sharing, Abbey. Personally, I don't think you need to cringe. You sounded clear and confident, and it sounded like the association had good goals.

What I thought was really fascinating, though (and I admit I just skipped through for the clips of you and Andy so I may have missed something), is that Andy is invested in seeming 'cool' and 'mysterious' by staying anonymous (or maybe he was still ducking the law/his family, I don't know), but he basically fades into the background as a result. Like, the later clips are just you, because the documentary makers/camera person made a decision to focus on the important, interesting half who has something to say rather than the skulking shadow.

I think that says something important about Andy, especially when looking at one of the other threads about using his 'light' as a flashlight to help others. He talks a good game, but it's becoming more and more obvious that he's a man searching for that light, because he can only ever pretend to be the kind of generous, caring, life-affirming person you (and Brittany and presumably his other victims) are. He's always so desperately grasping for recognition, but he's incapable of understanding how people truly, honestly care for one another and how that leads to the kind of adoration he's so hungry for.

NA I was thinking exactly this, too. Why even be in the video if he wishes to remain anonymous and has nothing to contribute? Although the ever-so-faux British (?) accent was pretty entertaining.

Abbey, would you be willing to talk more about the "club"? Was it all Andy's idea? What was the original intention? Was it financially motivated or was it a way of Andy trying to get more followers or to control the people around him?
