continued Thatfucker discussion
Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!
The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.
ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

Fanfiction vs life? Hard choice, apparently.
(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 01:24 am (UTC)(link)Not being able to talk about them to most people is so strange for me that it feels like closeting and is the biggest barrier to me having “normal” friends, a “normal” life.
Just a thought, but MAYBE if your Harry Potter fanfiction is the single biggest barrier to you having a normal life, it's not healthy, and it's a sign you have a problem.
Actually, I'm pretty sure interference with your daily functioning is damn near the definition of something constituting a psychological problem.
Fucking "closeted"? Really?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 01:49 am (UTC)(link)And his "I'm withdrawing from fandom, I don't have the time" crap he's pulling is just more bullshit. He has repeatedly made overtures to other fandoms on the sly and when called out has hurried to spin some bullshit (like the MCU roleplay asks) to deflect from the truth. He'll never be done with fandom when it is and always has been the place he selects his victims.
I believe it's only a matter of time before he gives up "Thanfiction" as a lost cause and moves on to greener pastures. Let's just hope he isn't successful in initially hiding his identity.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 02:40 am (UTC)(link)The thanfiction identity started as a normal dude who worked at a Starbucks and liked Harry potter. And then became a paramilitary psychic warrior with a lightening scar and a genius IQ, because Andy does not want friendship. He wants to be worshipped. He doesn't want friends. He wants fans. That's what will always get him caught.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 02:46 am (UTC)(link)Oh Andy.
You're right. Doubt there's any chance he'll ever be happy just to present as an ordinary person. OTOH that's good news as it means he'll likely be outed before he has the chance to reel in yet another group of fans under the guise of fandom.

Andy feels his "rightful" place is to elevated above the masses. He rationalizes that he isn't famous and successful not because he's barely functional, but because he's deigned to use his "light" to help the poor peons floundering about in the mud beneath him.
Re: Fanfiction vs life? Hard choice, apparently.
(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 03:19 am (UTC)(link)I'm surprised people continue to follow his blog when he posts things like this. This would be a huge red flag for me to unfollow someone, even if I didn't know anything else about them, because it reeks of narcissism and someone truly out of touch with their own reality.
For all of Andy's bullshit, humility is not a trait he's ever been able to even pretend he possesses. It surprises me that doesn't turn off more of the people following him, even if they know nothing about his history.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 03:24 am (UTC)(link)Also, the stuff he thinks makes him special is all so normal. Crying at Rent, liking Lady Gaga, wandering around the city at night. It shows how out-of-touch he is with others.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-11 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)Uhhhh. Man, I've known counselors and professional rescue workers, and they don't talk like this. Yikes.
