continued Thatfucker discussion

Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

DA - because it fits neatly into his (paraphrased) narrative of "The people who don't like me freak out about Warning The Fandom every time I express the slightest amount of interest in any media property without even looking to see what I'm doing and whether I'm interacting with the fandom at all. See also Night Vale where I only cosplayed to entertain a friend, MCU where I only did body paint on local friends, etc. See how silly they are? They blow EVERYTHING out of proportion, so take anything they say about being careful of me with a big grain of salt."

Which... is kind of true, and keeps giving him openings to convince newbies that the very legitimate warnings about the way he acts to people who do get close to him aren't worth listening to.

I think we go in circles trying to specifically predict what his next big fandom is when the thing to focus on is probably "What's his next big avenue of sucking fannish people into his sphere?" Used to be fic, then conrunning, insider connections and channeling, then art and DAYD, then meta, then body painting. Current answer: cosplay, especially on the east coast, could be any character, any fandom, as long as it's popular and he could visually pull it off.
