Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

I wrote a good bit about the situation with her permission awhile back--it was re-posted on TB's tumblr. She has improved a lot, yes, thanks to therapy & good support. There are still things she is not comfortable discussing she still has bouts of wondering "what did *I* do?" and embarrassment, but for the most part she has recovered very well. It wasn't easy though, and if I may quote KQ (I'm paraphrasing here), "It's a lot harder to recover from than it is to run away from."

When you say that she wonders about what she did, does she not remember? If that's the case, was it because of alcohol?

No, she never mentioned anything about alcohol to me. I don't get the impression His Highness likes to lose control--or share it--w. alcohol very often,or at all.

When I say "wonders what she did," I explained that she got sort of "frozen out" and it was implied she'd done *something,* but she never figured out what. Booze didn't enter into it.

In the DAYD days, he would often get very drunk, or at least claim to, and chat with his followers.

This is totally me-extrapolating-from-what-I-know & could be completely off the mark, but I'm suspecting that the getting drunk thing was an act.

From what I've understood of his RL personality (and believe me, I'm no expert, though more I'm more expert than I'd like to be, which is "not at all")he doesn't like to lose control in any way.Tantrums, yes, but not deliberately loosing control to drugs or booze like the rest of us.

I could be totally wrong b/c this is all speculation--I'm sure someone who has firsthand knowledge could either conform/deny.

If he IS taking certain medications then he isn't drinking considering what it will do to his body. For all his "i have six months to live" BS I don't think he really wants to find himself with liver failure.
