continued Thatfucker discussion

Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

The rules are vaguely the same as they are over on FFA. Please refrain from being too much of an asshole, making personal attacks, posting identifying information or engaging in transfail.

ETA: If there's information you'd like to see archived (journal/blog posts related to Andy, etc.), please dump it here and link to it from the main post for discussing.

What is it even made of? I wouldn't trust Andy (or most people, probably) to make anything cosplay that should be in close contact with a pussy. Not to mention washable doesn't equal clean.

Not to mention wearing a cosplay that has been used for sex in public is fucking gross. I mean, an arm is not as gross or hard to wash as, say, a mursuit, but it's still the same principle. Even if you washed it, you don't fucking wear your sexgear to a public event.

I wouldn't even blink at THAT if I didn't know. If it doesn't look like sex gear or smell like sex gear, who'd care? But it's not enough he has to think about doing it: he has to post about it, so everyone will know or at least wonder.

Because frankly it's rude to impose your sex gear on unsuspecting people, ESPECIALLY something like a costume piece that can't be properly sterilized. (Fake fur can't be, and I REALLY doubt his costume arm is made of something that can withstand boiling, of if he'd even bother.) But besides cleanliness, it's really damn gross to wear sex gear to a public event where it's more than likely a lot of the people coming to talk to you -- and possibly hug you, shake your hand, etc -- are going to be children or minors. Make two versions, one for sex and one for costuming, if you really must use it for sex, otherwise you really are just imposing your kink on people who didn't agree to take part in it, and the fact they can't TELL and thus avoid you makes it even worse imo.

And he did in fact just take photos at a public event with a child while dressed as Bucky.

Aaand now I'm just imagining some poor unsuspecting little kid shaking the fake hand. Gross.

I'm not disagreeing with it as a general principle of etiquette, anon, I'm just saying that if Andy could master the important adult skill of shutting the fuck up about what should be his personal life, no one would even think that his Steve gear might be sex gear. I mean, for all I know the people I pass every day have been misled by Fifty Shades into using their ties as restraints, but I don't know about it, because they do their friends and acquaintances the great courtesy of not posting about it on Facebook.

Although I suppose he posts about it on Facebook precisely to see who seems willing to go along with it.
