I'm going to repost this, because more than anything else I've ever read, it demonstrates that Andy consciously premeditates how to sell himself to his victims. It also makes clear that the stories Andy wrote are nothing but a gateway to more victims.

This is something Andy wrote before meeting KQ in person. It describes the "thrill" he got from deceiving people, in addition to "gifts and love and praise".

Yeah I've always found this especially chilling. He doesn't see people as potential friends, he sees them as marks.
