Since we've been kicked off FFA for the week, please feel free to continue the anon discussion here. Apologies if this is a big flop - I've never made a DW community before!

Also? Not a single comment from Brittany on a single one of those posts. I have yet to find anything from her that had to do with wrock at all--although I haven't looked at every single post, so I may have missed something. And yes, she could have been discussing it in chat or something, but if she was so enthused about this project, I really would have expected to see SOMETHING public. I'm pretty sure this is another instance of Andy exploiting her death to promote a pet project of his and guilt-trip people with talent, musical instruments, and recording equipment into doing all the work for free.

And isn't it interesting that early on he talked about reading HP in the first place because his bandmate wanted to start doing wrock songs--but later it became his thing that he had been trying to do forever but couldn't get anyone to work on it with him.

This reminds me so much of what Abbey's written about his "therapy." Ugh.

Ugh, he is so fucking SHAMELESS. I know the evidence is out there for all to see and yet it's still somehow shocking to me that he uses her death for his own ends and does it constantly.

It's disgusting. It's unforgivable. Brittany was a real person, and she was fucking murdered. She was not a character in one of his fucked up roleplays. She was a human being with a family and friends and people who loved her; people who are potentionally still being hurt whenever he decides to namedrop her and wants to act like it's because they were starcrossed lovers.

He does not get to invoke her name every time he wants to garner support for his current crazy scheme or draw attention to his latest pet project. He does not get to re-write the person she actually was just because it bolsters his bullshit narrative.

The levels of Not Human that he is approaching here makes my skin crawl.

I wish someone had thought to ask his hike buddy whether he and Brittany ever had a romantic relationship, as far as he knew. Because the impression I get is that Andy is kind of rewriting history on that.

There is something about this video that absolutely makes my skin crawl, and for the life of me, I can't figure out what it is, except that this girl seems off. Something about her demeanor reminds me of the weird affect taken on by too-happy cultists when they're singing the praises of CoS or Warren Jeffs or something.

All the "I hope it's what I'm meant to do" about her job and her college applications, like she was waiting for fate (or Andy) to make choices for her, makes me sad.

And the casual mention of "white static" in his head and the assurances that he didn't have to "perform" for her? That sounds to me like he was withholding channeling to try to make it something *she* wanted rather than something he inflicted.

In "Going Clear", Jason Beghe explains that look. It's super chilling and starts at about an hour 25 minutes in.

“All Scientologists are full of shit. You know, they lie. 'Oh, I'm doing great, you gotta get on seven.' You know. And they're fucking [switching to an internal monologue while projecting a huge creepy smile], 'I've got a fucking migraine right now. And I've never felt so shitty.' You know, that's the fucking life.”

You've got to see it to get the full effect. And he knows, since he was in Scientology for so long himself. Those too-happy, creepy smiles from victims of cults cover up terrible anguish.

everything about this is horribly invasive. the speculation about the thoughts of a dead woman none of you ever even spoke to, calling her "off", sharing this video at all... just because andy does it doesn't mean we have to stoop to his level. I just... okay share it if you MUST but this fucking mind reading psychoanalysing crap is a disgrace. she was murdered ffs. she's not even around to defend herself against any of this. you should all be ashamed.

where is the mod? there has to be limits on our conduct here. surely anyone can see that presuming to interpret this material to the intimacy the above posters have is unethical.

I'm at work and didn't see this until now. As I hadn't looked at the video linked above, I had no idea the woman commenters were speculating about is Brittany. As Brittany isn't here to defend herself, I agree this is unethical and wil freeze the thread.
