Pat explanations for why he's gone public again and why he's changed his handle, as if it weren't obvious that the one is because of the attention Nuggie will get him, and the other is more hiding in plain sight.
I also find it very weird how he's tweeting in this really specific register - I don't know exactly how to describe it, sort of elder millenial/Gen-X, slightly cringe, very online, probably calls dogs "puppers", you know what I mean? - that blends in seamlessly with the kind of Twitter circles he's in, but then every so often something just jumps out as oh, it's Andy.
he said he wasn't taking any more donations after he got what he needed for sparrow son 2: the electric boogaloo. but it was a good test of the waters for when he needs emergency funds again. you really just have to change your twitter handle, huh
Yup. Also: Anyone else notice the tweet where he offhandedly explains that he doesn't just have long covid--he has it so badly he has a scary white blood cell count and has to wear a mask because any minor infection could kill him? He framed it as "you don't know WHY someone wears a mask," as though he was defending other people from being criticized for continuing to mask, but I couldn't help wondering if it was primarily to get his health claims out there.
Honest to God, I think that's a testing thing, like how Nigerian prince scams are deliberately ridiculous to filter out people who aren't gullible enough to grift. I'm not a scientist or anything, I'm just a nerd who keeps up with the news, and nothing I have ever seen has indicated a low white blood cell count as a symptom of long COVID. Changes in the composition/structure of blood cells, sure, but not HIV-like immunodeficiency. COVID hits you worse if you are already immunodeficient, obviously, but that's not what Andy is claiming. It feels designed to draw sympathy from people who take COVID seriously but aren't quite knowledgeable enough to get that he's lying.
It's Munchausen's by internet all over again, like his "heart condition" and his "dissociative identity disorder."
My Son, The Sparrow
