TB: Andy’s friends have created this page to tell their side of the story, to counter the “cyberbullying” they say he’s suffering, and to insinuate that Molly and her friends are lying about and/or wildly misconstruing what happened during Andy’s stay with her. You hardly even have to read between the lines to see that’s what they’re doing. From what they’ve written so far, it is clear that Andy hasn’t given his friends a complete and honest picture of what happened and why he was made to leave.
Honestly, guys, what I have shared from Molly is far from the worst of what he did and said. The Stickening and the planned CR dinner are both relatively innocuous and even kind of funny in comparison to the rest. But a number of third parties are involved in the other stories, and some of them understandably are not comfortable with the kind of attention that sharing could generate. I hate to be cryptic, but I think it’s important to make it clear that there were many more creepy and disturbing things going on than the public is currently aware of, while still respecting people’s privacy.
I love how they're hitting on 'these people blogging about him aren't personal victims'. Like, keeping a timeline of Andy's past misdeeds is somehow just rumor-mongering. That he magically didn't do all that stuff. (And keeps doing it over and over again.)
Except that I AM. By his own fucking admission. Once again I get to be accused of being a "cyberbully" because I won't stay silent about my abuser, how he abused me, and when I observe him using the same tactics he absued me with on others.

The guy doesn't hate or fear these people in the fucking slightest - he fucking loves these people and deeply wishes he was really one of them instead of being an offputting little weirdo whose biggest life achievement is a Harry Potter fanfic. Most of the writing he's ever done fetishises weapon-toting hyper-masculine military he-men to a very, very obvious extent, and that's when he's not straight-up pretending to be one. I mean, hello, who was it who liked to talk big about getting stabbed with a claymore or whatever? "I fought on both sides of the Troubles"? "You're all to wimpy for my writing because I write about REAL MEN and REAL WAR"? He even has a thing for the Confederacy!

He tries his shit on everyone he comes across but he clearly likes to take aim at people with vulnerabilities he can exploit - people with self-esteem issues, troubled family relationships, mental health problems, body or gender issues, and most of those people have been women. Of course he wasn't fucking scared of you, mate, he probably wants to wear your skin like an anorak.
SA Okay no, I take back the bit about his biggest life achievement being DAYD. He has a degree, in which his biggest project involving 90 hours of non-stop work was a Game-of-Thrones inspired dress, which is definite proof that he has burned his involvement in fandom to the ground oh yes indeedy.

That entire response is so rage inducing I'm shaking. Completely cruel and completely lacking in any kind of empathy. Abbey, if you're reading this, I'm so fucking sorry that people continue to behave like this about the experiences you've been brave enough to share.
Nah, I'm cool. Gets an occasional rise out of me, but that's about it. I'm amazed at how hard his group is working to make him - and themselves - look like even bigger assholes.

Just because you chose to follow his mentally ill fantasy paths doesn’t mean I would. Or Chris would. Or Meg would. Most adults know the difference between reality and fantasy. Andy hasn’t brainwashed me. I don’t even know him. But he told me his story. And I read the accounts from news articles and from the teablogger’s blog. And they all draw a pretty strange picture. Mostly what I see is a bunch of fandom geeks (and, Hey, I’m one, too) getting waaaay too wrapped up in their fandoms, and deciding it would be more fun to pretend that fiction is real than grow up. And all you lost boys chose Andy as your Peter Pan and followed him to Neverland.
Hmm... Has anyone ever heard of a person who got waaaay to wrapped up in his fandom and decided it would be more fun to pretend that fiction is real than grow up? Anyone? Ring a bell? Anyone? Bueller?
It's not like Abbey was a 40 year old woman with a ton of experience under her belt. Or even 30+ years old. She was in her early to mid 20s, as I recall. They act like she should have known better, and don't take into account her own mental state at the time. And how easy it was for a con artist like Andy to slide in and take over.
