I love how they're hitting on 'these people blogging about him aren't personal victims'. Like, keeping a timeline of Andy's past misdeeds is somehow just rumor-mongering. That he magically didn't do all that stuff. (And keeps doing it over and over again.)
Except that I AM. By his own fucking admission. Once again I get to be accused of being a "cyberbully" because I won't stay silent about my abuser, how he abused me, and when I observe him using the same tactics he absued me with on others.

Something about horror might be appealing to him (in the sense of supernatural influences, the feeling of danger, and whatnot), but also would be way too obvious and also hard to play.

"I am a morally grey character who does undeniably bad things like killing and eating people" (Hannibal, anyone from The Terror) = WAY harder to snooker people with.

SA on second thought, I retract my shame for laughing at this - it's more evidence of Andy's deceit and the way he continues to overhype his own abilities and sell himself as an upper-tier artiste without putting in the actual effort to improve at any artistic craft. Whether it's cooking, or tracing drawing, or body painting, or cosplay, or whatever, he seems to do the bare minimum to get to "above average" in ability and then immediately start posturing like a prodigy.
It's a low-level con, and people don't call him on it because it feels awkward and mean and socially wrong - he takes blatant advantage of that social nicety and here he is doing it again.

For all this talk of him being talented and a genius, etc, he comes off as excessively lazy and churns out sub-par work regardless of what medium it is. Even his much vaunted prose is predictable and purple to people who are actually good at wordcraft.
It's another form of con artistry, one that's hard to call out without appearing like a bully - he leans into "art is subjective, your yuck might be my yum, everything has SOME audience, etc" to escape criticism when the facts show situations like those cited in the above FB post as having happened within the past month:
• His claiming to be a gourmet chef while not being able to boil an egg
• His hyping up of his costuming skills while unable to tailor a garment so it won't split as soon as someone tries it on
This is con artist behavior! I was sleeping when this all went down. But here is what I have to add:
1. I can verify that we were ALL creeped out by him and his behavior. He lied constantly, said shitty things to our friends, fabricated scenarios to get attention and sympathy, tried to force himself into our friend group through ingratiating himself to us with bizarre acts (dog painting, offering to henna my pregnant stomach, etc.)
2. He lied and told a heavily fictionalized version of his past to Molly and Chris in which he painted himself as the unfair victim of “internet drama”- leaving out the major theft, faked death/suicides, stalking, his part in two murders and an actual suicide, rape, and sexual abuse he had committed.
3. I had MULTIPLE conversations with Molly prior to her finding out the scope of his past behavior where she indicated she was feeling uneasy about Andrew wanting to be in her house and wanted him to leave.
4. She planned to ask him to leave following her trip, the info she found out from our friend only made the decision more urgent for her.
5. Andrew lied to my face about his costuming experience, how long he was planning on staying w Chris and Molly (he told me he had a full time gig & was staying for the whole summer while he got set up in LA.) He also told me he had never been to LA before (!!!)
6. Andrew made transphobic and homophobic comments to and about my friends. He also presented himself as a Cis gendered male, which is his prerogative I suppose, but is extremely disingenuous about who he actually is
7. His time was up w our circle BEFORE we found out his past and the reason his time was up was solely based on his behavior in our lives
8. We were not contacted by anyone outside our group to fill in the facts of Andrew’s past- one of our closest friends knew about him, was concerned enough to say something to multiple people in the group, and we all evaluated that information on our own - including his former “employer” who was not even given the info by Molly, but by a mutual friend who was also concerned
9. To a person we all wish and hope Andrew really does get better and turn his life around, but from our first hand experience it does not seem that is the case
10. He is 100% not welcome in our community, our homes, our social media, or our lives
11. This is not the word of Molly against Andrew- this is the word of MANY people who interacted w Andrew while he was here in our space who had individual experiences with him. Molly has zero to prove. Instead of going at her, you would do better to maybe ask all of us individually what led us to the conclusion that Andrew was dangerous and manipulative. Or, better yet, ask ANDREW why 20+ people came to this conclusion about him IN TWO WEEKS (and don’t take “the blogs” for an answer— because none of us -including Molly- knew about the blogs until the day he was asked to leave and he was asked to leave before any of us had a chance to fully read the information about him)
Anyhow- no one is trying to ruin Andrew’s life (he’s done a great job of that on his own by lying and being disingenuous) - he is simply not welcome here and we feel obligated (given how he lied about his past, his present, and his circumstances to us) to warn others in our LA community about his bullshit. Not only is Hannibal harder to use to manipulate people, but the hero of that series, Will Graham, is way too damaged and morally grey to appeal to Andy. Sure, Bucky was brainwashed but he still gets to be swaggering and cool and redeemed as an action hero... Will is manipulated at every turn.
Although, I just found out the other day that there WAS a Hannibal cult! Apparently Jen, the woman who ran the FF7 house, got her claws into Hannibal fandom eventually.
