I apologize that that got so long (especially the plot ideas for a novel; I was barely interested in that myself, I can't imagine how boring it'll be for everyone else). But if you read between the lines, I think he's using the "here's where your plot could go" to float an elaborate explanation for his OWN lies.

About the Turimel 'BNF' character (who denies the true powers of the Andy character because it reveals the 'BNF' as a terrible person):

And the thing is, even as he knows he's protecting his ass, he makes himself believe it because either this asshole kid found out his darkest secrets and shamed him with them because he's a monstrous con artist who gets his kicks hurting people...or his mother really did feel that way about him.

Wow.

And of course we've got the usual hallmarks of mummy issues, sexual abuse, vulnerable women and children, self-made scrappy heroes with special powers, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Dear God, I've read shorter dissertations.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of those elements made their way into various "confessions" to Daydians and Posse members, or at least were first draft ideas for same. Was this after he wrote to you as Amy?

Sadly I failed to screencap the original post on his Facebook, which was a tvtropes page called something about being a tomato (I can find the link to the trope when I get off my phone, if that helps.) But I do have a screencap of the fb message wherein he "explained" to me that he'd just realized he was someone else's delusion.

So what, every time he got naked, he somehow neglect to see his breasts and instead saw a penis and balls? Never saw any old pictures of himself? Never had any family members talk about his past in ways that would reveal it? Never realized he going to get shots of testosterone regularly? Never went through old messages and found some where his name was Amy? Never read any of his old journals?

Come on.

I kind of like the basic premise of "show psychic gets temporarily posessed by actual dead person and causes a stink." It's not that original, but I like stuff like that & would probably read it as long as the author wasn't Andy. Trying to draw parallels with the Turimel book takes it off the rails, though. Real "psychics" get exposed all the time for being actual frauds and it doesn't hurt their careers a bit; this accidental-posession stunt would probably just gain "Our Hero" a TV deal or something.

Actually, ironically, I damned near dragged [redacted] by the hair to Planned Parenthood (you'll note they're one of our sponsors) and got her on birth control before the hike even started. She was insisting she didn't even LIKE [redacted] and that she was a virgin, I was insisting they were going to be spending two months in a tent and would either hate each other or be fucking by the end of it.

UGH ANDY why are you disclosing this information to a third party? It does not make you look like the Wise Responsible Cool Uncle you think it does >:(

And even if these other people did start a sexual relationship (which was none of Andy's damn business anyway), who was Andy to say they would DEFINITELY be doing something that could result in pregnancy? There are other things people do! It would be their choice, not his, and it was her choice whether to go on birth control, not anyone else's, and who the hell was he to claim he knew her mind better than she did, and...

The thing about having her patch renewals programmed into his phone is horrifying. Controlling birth control is a pretty big, classic abuse red flag, too.

The whiplash between the way he infantilizes her (he has to take her to the doctor's, and to make her take her meds on time, like a parent would for a child), and simultaneously pushes her into adult situations she's not yet interested in (she *will* be having sex by the time the hike is over!), is truly impressive - and the mark of an experienced psychological abuser.

I'm truly happy to have heard that they are still together and in love, because saving a marriage which started so deeply immersed in psychological fuckery is quite the miracle.

And yes, being this overly-involved in someone's reproductive health care decisions (especially when you're not their partner) and their sex life, is hallmark abusive tactics.

I'm glad that both of them got away from him, and I'm also glad that their marriage worked out, but that was in spite of Andy, not because of it.

Thank you. I admit that there is a certain amount of hostility towards Abbey, but it's mostly based in WTF. As in WTF kind of 23 year old woman with a degree in psychology and gender studies meets a 17 year old kid like that and instead of trying to get them help, starts an affair with them, moves them out to live with her, cuts them off from family and friends, helps them fake their death, demands he make all her dreams come true, then abandons him completely after 7 years with 25K in her debt, sends him letters and packages promising she still loves him if he'll work hard enough, then dumps him utterly and two years later turns him in to a woman whom she knows has a deranged vendetta only loosely based in reality and thinks he's the antichrist?

Wow, good catch! (And you missed the very first "them", so there's one more.)

Of course, it's no coincidence that everything which happened to "them" happened when he was still going by the Amy Player identity, while everything which happened to "him" happened after he faked his death and started using male names.

Weird though how he has no trouble lying about his age and thereby accusing Abbey of statutory rape, but for some reason he can't bring himself to just use "him" all along. It's not like he was talking; this is in writing, so he could have changed every "them" to "him" before hitting Send. I can't help but wonder why he didn't.

Do we know what Andy's inner circle explanation for Turimel is to people coming on board after it all already went down? Is it possible that he actually tells his true believers that he channeled someone close to her and she had to start calling him a fraud to save face?

The addition of "our hero's" sister, who not-Turimel creeps on, is an interesting nod to Andy's assertions that Janis Turimel had a ~big lesbian crush~ on him when he ID'd as female.
